[/right]début!Name
Gracieux (Grace, Gracie)

5
Gender
Female
Coat Colour
Something of an experiment in "blue roan," a mutation intended to create something slightly more literal. Blue-grey, metallic, faintly dappled. Points darkened.

Black, silver-grey strands intermingling.
Other Specifics
Thoroughbred-like in build. Appearance is well maintained. Black hooves. 13.3 hands. Pointed.
Appearance
Gracieux is a well muscled, albeit graceful looking mare. Her legs are long and thin, though far from spindly. However beautiful she was, there could be no doubt in anyone around her that she could - and would - hold her own in a fight. Blue-grey pelt is stretch tight over a long, sleek torso, fading into dark points and injecting silver strands into her otherwise jet black mane and tail. The minimal black feathering down her fetlocks was unmarred and richly coloured. Spotless obsidian coloured hooves punctuate her limbs.
Black eyes peer out from a delicate, well proportioned face. No white markings were present to break up the visage, nor on her legs.
Element
Air & Water.
Personality
Having always been privileged, Grace exemplifies the traits of a spoiled child. When a demand is made by her, the demand will be met - lest her opposition face the consequences. When a request is made of her, however, it will likely only be fulfilled if the payment in return is grand enough to please her. However spoiled she may be, Gracieux can and does take fondly to some of those around her, for whatever reason. To these few, usually males, the only side of her they ever see is the facade of warmth, gentleness and generosity. She instantly becomes a creature who is lovable and often adored. But make no mistake, this is no personality disorder - Grace has the whole scheme figured out for her own advancement.
Even so, the mare isn't all bad when she lets her guard down. Being a mare, it should not be surprising that her heart held a soft spot for foals. She wished vainly for her own, but was not careful or thoughtful enough to consider the work that such an undertaking would entail. It was simply the novelty of it that she adored. Not only foals, but any sort of family became prime targets for her adoration. Any creature that could give her any sort of promise of affection or stability was fair game for her to suck up to, wait on or befriend. Whether this trait is a good one is your call.
History
Upon being born to the highest ranking mare in her father's herd, Grace held precedence in the family structure for quite some time. Eventually her mother, who had been 15 or so, was taken by illness. The filly did not fair well, becoming agitated and restless in a herd that no longer found reason to pamper her above the others or even notice her as being anything but yet another weak foal in an endlessly large herd.
Eventually, temptation overtook the young filly. She left the herd to join some dashing young stallion which had, more than a few times, challenged her father for his herd. Life went on well for a while, following her new stallion and his small band of five other mares as they searched for a place to call their own on the island. There did not seem to be a place for them. Eventually, fights and territory disputes disbanded the herd and Gracieux was left on her own once more.
