Name: Nadia
Species Centaur
Age horse 5, human 19
gender female
Appearance
Nadia generally looks like any centaur from her group. Her horse body has a chestnut look to it with all four legs having stockings of varying lengths. Her hooves aren't necessarily big nor small but bigger than that of an average horse. Her parents believed in running about barefoot so shoes have never touched her pink hooves. Her tail is of average length that is periodically trimmed and combed daily. What little of mane there is braided and kept neatly done.
Where the two halves meet the chestnut color fades quickly into what could be considered a normal human flesh color. Unlike her mane which is kept near perfection Nadia's red hair is allowed to grow free and wild. It actually touches where her withers would be and usually had a braid or two in it. While some women decide to cover up with piece of cloth, Nadia has decided to run about free of such things. Her green eyes are usually bright with optimism.
Element
Fire and Air
Personality
Like most redheads Nadia can and does have a temper but years of discipline have made her outbursts less frequent. Instead of starting a fight she'll walk off and mediate or start a brush fire. It really depends on how upset she is. She prefers the company of females more than males since women seem to talk more. She would prefer to be in love than be married off to the man who has the most connections or is the strongest or has the most of something.
She was very close to her mother and when she died Nadia was grief stricken and still is. The process has been slow due to it only being a year ago. She tries to not let this get her down though as she is very optimistic. The glass is always half full in her mind and constantly tries to see it from another ones perspective.
History
Nadia was born in a group rather than a tribe of Centaurs. They were all in some shade of chestnut or bay. It made identifying just on sight hard at times. They had chosen a long time ago to be this way and shunned those that were not of their color. Nadia never truly understood this as not everyone who was different is bad. Around the time of her sixteenth birthday her parents gave her the talk about how everything should be going. They weren't upset per say that she wasn't married or at least courting; it was just every suitor she turned down. For some reason or other they couldn't understand.
Nadia pretty much lived a normal life until a bit after her eighteenth birthday her mother grew ill. The sickness was swift and she died within a month or two. Devastated Nadia wanted to go off on her own for awhile. Her dear father suggested she take someone capable of protecting her but Nadia refused. Everyone in her group was either too stuck up or too color biased. For some she wasn't bay enough while others she wasn't this shade of chestnut. Fed up she finally broke free a few months ago and celebrated her birthday alone. With her she brought nothing.
