Appearance:
Element: Fire and air
Personality:
History:
Age: Three
Gender: Mare
Appearance:
Artemisia has petite, pointed ears that curve into the center slightly, set forward on a small head. A head that she holds high on a swan-like neck, concave and ending with a velvet pint muzzle. Her nostrils are flared and take up most of that tiny muzzle, thin skinned and delicate. Her eyes are a caramel color, which are very large and expressive- they reflect what they see and are a window to her emotions- and are rimmed with shiny charcoal lids. Between them is a very white upside down heart- her only marking. Her forelock usually covers part of it, sweeping behind her eye and tickling her jaw. Her body is sleek and a bit too slender, covered in chrome fur the color of a raven. Despite her oddly pretty proportions, her smaller head and long neck and petite body, her legs are quite long and her gait is graceful- like the grass beneath her worn hooves were springs. Paired with her long, wispy tresses and ballerina poise, Artemisia's average looks have a kind of "come-hither" atmosphere. Too bad she can't use it- if she even knew she had it.
Element: Fire and air
Personality:
Artemisia is a quiet mare; she doesn't talk too much and will usually go and do her own thing while the mob socializes. Artemisia really isn't a good speaker, she trails off and murmurs often. Kinda sad... she has such a pretty voice. Of course, she's not confident either. She thinks she's just there, another mare to another stallion who'll use her for brood and toss her aside. She doesn't know why she thinks that, she just does. If you warm up to the serene and detached mare, you'll actually find her a beautiful being to be around. Her voice is clearer, she talks more. She's really quite understanding, even though she really hasn't been through any tragedies. She's good with secrets too, something you can trust. Best of all, you'll unleash the fire she doesn't know is inside her quite yet. You might even find yourself loving the little babe for what it's worth. Irresistible might be exaggerating, but it's hard not to like her.
History:
[/blockquote][/blockquote]You probably couldn't find a being whose background is as uninteresting as Artemisia's. It was beyond average. Her mother didn't die, she wasn't abandoned and left for her own, her father didn't abuse her. Her father lead the kingdom she grew up in; he was the sire of all of the herd's offspring. He was quite fond of Artemisia's dam, a damsel he had stolen from a rival harem. Her father was great, yes, skilled in everything it seemed. Swift, strong, agile, and intelligent- his offspring were gifted. But a great king does not equal a great father. He was gentle, yes, and wanted greatness from every child of his, but he was not loving and mercy was not his strongest point. That is what her mother was for; when Artemisia had followed her father and the other season's crop, learning the land and how to survive and how to be great, like her father, Artmisia's mother taught her of trust and passion, compassion and honesty. How to balance the tigress within her with angelic spirit. Molding Artemisia into a 50/50 angel/vixen.
But as Artemisia grew and life changed, she became quieter and secluded from the heard- like a contained flame, unable to get out. Not even Artemisia knows why she's so withdrawn, especially when she, herself, knows that on the inside she's no different.
